Hollister Hero

With flood waters ready to wipe out the mobile home park a hero steps in.  Nick Ramirez  was up in the middle of the night to bring his wife to work.  With water rushing into the park he didn't run for cover.  He went from home to home and woke up all his neighbors so they could get to safety.

Hollister man dubbed hero

Nick Ramirez we salute you!  Great work.

2 Hero's

Today we have two hero's, both who received the Mayor's Hero award.  Nice to see them be recognized.

Mario Maglione Jr. saw a man on fire and jumped into action.  The man was 20 feet off the ground in a scissor lift.  Mario scaled up the lift, brought it to the ground, and started extinguishing the flames.  Now that is a heroic action.

Now the next is a only 7 years old.  Tyler Taylor woke up in the middle of the night and smelled a fire.  He alerted his family and everyone got out safe.  Nice to see such a young hero!

Mario Maglione Jr we salute you! Your a brave man.

Tyler Taylor we salute you!  Your proof a hero can be any age.

Here is another great hero, James Winters.  He showed he had a hero in him when he joined the Navy, and his actions prove it.  A woman and her children were in danger of falling off a bridge when he and others stopped to help.  I really like his quote "We got word that everybody was fine and they would make a full recovery. That was probably the best thing I've ever felt in my life."  Helping people does make you feel great and more people need to know this.

James Winters we solute you!  Thanks for being a great American.

Here is a real hero.  Terry Parker is just a regular citizen who helped a child that he didn't even know.  To make it better he doesn't even want to be called a hero.

Well Terry Parker we salute you!  Thank you for being a good man.
This blog is dedicated to the real hero's of America.  People who help/save others.  I'm talking about police, firemen, military, and just good citizens.  I'm tired of seeing all the famous people treated like they are hero's.  Sure some of them might be decent enough people, but many are just pretending to be hero's in movies.  The policeman who saves a life it a far bigger hero.  So I think we need to start celebrating real hero's.
